Parl. Speaker, Egyptian envoy tackle relations

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Parliament Speaker Iyad al-Samarraie has discussed with the Egyptian ambassador to the country means of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, an official statement said on Wednesday. “On Wednesday, Samarraie received the ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Sharif Kamal Shahine, and highlighted the distinguished role that Egypt plays on the Arab scene,” according to a statement released by Samarraie’s office and received by IraqiNews.com news agency. The Egyptian official has stressed the necessity of developing mutual relations and activating the cooperation protocol signed between the parliaments of both countries, according to the statement.
