20 persons arrested in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Police forces arrested 14 men wanted on criminal charges as well as six suspects others in search raids all over Basra province on Friday, a local police source said. “The arrests took place late yesterday night,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. He said that the raiding forces also seized five Katyusha rockets, two mortars and four unlicensed vehicles. The oil-rich port city of Basra lies 590 km south of the Iraqi capital Baghdad.
