President Talabani condemns Najaf bombings

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi President Jalal Talabani condemned on Friday the three synchronized explosions in Najaf, according to a statement released from his office. “These attacks come within the series of terrorist explosions which aim to cause chaos and panic among Iraqis before the coming parliamentary elections,” said the statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. On Thursday (Jan. 14), a media source had said that one civilian was killed and 77 were wounded in three synchronized blasts that occurred in two close places in central Najaf. SH (P) 2
