11 wanted men detained, car bomb seized in Heet

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Eleven wanted members of the armed group Ansar al-Sunna (Supporters of Sunna) were captured and a car bomb seized in the district of Heet on Saturday, according to the Iraqi defense ministry. “The arrested men are wanted on charges of blowing up houses in Heet, west of al-Anbar province,” the ministry was quoted by the semi-official al-Iraqiya TV in an urgent report. Heet on January 7 had witnessed blasts with improvised explosive devices that targeted the houses of policemen in the district, leaving four civilians killed and seven others wounded.
