3 election runners in Wassit withdraw

WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: Three runners in Iraq’s parliamentary elections race in Wassit on Saturday submitted requests to withdraw from the race. “The Wassit Election Office received the requests,” a source from the office told IraqiNews.com news agency. He said that the office has made no official response to the requests, but “forwarded them to the Independent High Electoral (IHEC) in Baghdad for consideration.” The source did not mention the runners’ names.
