Kurdistan presidency says Barazani to visit U.S. soon

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Kurdistan Region President Massoud Barazani will fly soon to the United States to meet U.S. officials and discuss several issues with them, according to the Iraqi Kurdistan presidential cabinet chief on Sunday. “Barazani will deal with issues pertaining to Iraq in general and Kurdistan in particular as well as the United States’ relations with Iraq and Kurdistan,” Fouad Hussein told IraqiNews.com news agency. U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates had handed an invitation from the U.S. administration to Barazani during his recent meeting to Kurdistan last month to pay a visit to Washington. AmR (P)/SR 1
