NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi forces have arrested the masterminds of the recent attacks in Talafar, a source from the Iraqi army said on Wednesday. “Iraqi forces in Talafar have arrested two senior al-Qaeda leaders in two separate operations,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The leaders confessed to standing behind the recent attacks in Talafar,” he added. Talafar has witnessed three suicide explosions in 2009, during which scores were killed and wounded. Talafar is 60 km northwest of Mosul, the capital of Ninewa, which lies 405 km north of Baghdad.
