Talabani, Turkish envoy tackle bilateral ties

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi President Jalal Talabani on Sunday discussed with Turkish ambassador to Iraq Murat Özçelik bilateral political and economic relations, according to a presidential release. “Talabani and Özçelik dealt with the remarkable development in the Iraqi-Turkish relations in all fields, particularly the political and economic spheres, and their positive outcome to the benefit of both people,” read the release as received by IraqiNews.com news agency. The statement quoted Talabani as calling for “more efforts to enhance ties to reach a model stage in the interests of both countries,” stressing the “deep-rooted relations binding the two friendly countries”.
