URGENT / 2 blasts rock downtown Baghdad

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Two blasts have hit two separate places in downtown Baghdad, eyewitness said on Monday. “One of the bombings occurred in al-Firdaws Square near the Palestine Hotel, while the other occurred near Babel Hotel, close to the Green Zone,” an eyewitness told IraqiNews.com news agency. Ambulances rushed to the scenes of the blasts, according to the same eyewitness. A source from the U.S. embassy has confirmed the blasts, saying they rocked the offices of the building. SS (P) 2
