Suicide bomber wounds 5 people northwest of Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Four policemen and one civilian were wounded in a suicide bombing attack in northwest of Mosul, a security source said on Wednesday. “A suicide bomber blew up an explosive belt strapped to his body on Wednesday (Jan. 27) near a police station in Zamar district, northwest of Mosul, targeting a U.S. vehicle patrol, injuring four policemen and one civilian,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The blast caused no injuries among U.S. troops,” he added. No word was immediately available from the U.S. army on the incident. Mosul, the capital of Ninewa, is 405 km north of Baghdad. SH (P) 2
