Kirkuk blast wounds 7 policemen

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: Seven emergency policemen were injured when an improvised explosive device (IED) hit their patrol vehicle in western Kirkuk, a local police source said on Thursday. “This morning, an explosive device hit an emergency police patrol vehicle near the electricity distribution department in al-Baath neighborhood, southwestern Kirkuk, wounding seven patrolmen,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. The blast has caused damage to the vehicle, the source added. Kirkuk, an oil-rich and mixed city of Kurds, Turkmen, Christians and Arabs, lies 250 km north of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. SS (P) 2
