Sinjar mayor to sue Ninewa governor

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Sinjar mayor will file a lawsuit against Ninewa governor after the Ninewa council’s vote of no confidence against him, according to Kurdistan’s news agency’s website. Sinjar Mayor Dakheel Qassem Hassoun said he will file a lawsuit against Ninewa Governor, Atheel al-Nujiefi, as a result of the illegitimate decision to sack him. He said he will wait until receiving the parliament’s legal committee’s decision to start the legal procedures against the governor. Sinjar is 120 km northwest of Mosul, the capital of Ninewa, which lies 405 km north of Baghdad. SH (P) 2
