$11.640m service projects in Arbil

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: Several service projects will be launched in the town of Badawa, eastern Arbil, including road pavement and sewage and drinking water networks at a cost of more than $11 million, Arbil Governor Nawzad Hadi said on Saturday. “A local contractor embarked on a project to pave roads about eight kilometers long, an extension of a 17-km-long sanitary sewage network and a 45-km-long drinking water network in Badawa, eastern Arbil,” Hadi told IraqiNews.com news agency. The costs of the projects, to be finalized next August, hit $11.640 million in a loan offered by the World Bank, he added. Arbil, the capital city of the semi-autonomous Iraqi Kurdistan Region, lies 360 km north of Baghdad. AmR (P)/SR 1
