2 cops killed by gunmen in Ninewa checkpoint

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Two policemen were killed by unidentified gunmen at a checkpoint in southern Ninewa province on Friday, a local police source said. “Unidentified gunmen opened fire at soldiers in a checkpoint in the Hadar district, south of Mosul, leaving two of them killed,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The two dead policemen were working in the oil pipeline protection department,” he added, not giving further details.
