VP meets U.S., Bahraini FMs on ties, political scene

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi has discussed with the U.S and Bahraini foreign ministers the current political scene in Iraq and means of developing bilateral relations, an official statement said on Saturday. “During his current visit to Washington, Hashemi met with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to discuss the priorities that should be addressed by Iraq and the United States to activate the Strategic Framework Agreement…,” read the statement that was received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “Hashemi has also met with the Bahraini foreign minister, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al-Khalifa, to discuss bilateral relations between Iraq and the Kingdom of Bahrain…,” the statement added.
