11 arrested in Touz Khormato

SALAH AL-DIN / IraqiNews.com: Security forces arrested 11 suspects in Touz Khormato and seized weapons and explosives, according to a local police source in the district on Sunday. “The arrested persons are suspected of having ties to the al-Qaeda network and are facing charges of acts f sabotage,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. Touz Khormato lies 100 km northeast of Tikrit. “The raiding force also seized a cache containing 18 improvised explosive devices, two guns, four Kalashnikov machine-guns, a box of munitions and two explosive belts,” he said, not giving further details.
