Electricity to enter 19 villages in Rawndoz

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: Technicians embarked on a project worth 1.917 billion Iraqi dinars (roughly $1.6 million) to extend electricity to 19 villages belonging to the district of Rawndoz, Mayor Sirwan Sereni said on Sunday. “The allocations are part of the Provincial Development Budget (PDB) for Arbil in addition to other allocation from electricity ministry in the Kurdistan Regional Government Kurdistan RegionG),” Sereni told IraqiNews.com news agency. Rawndoz is 130 km north of the Kurdish city of Arbil. “The project aims to provide all services in Arbil, particularly the mountainous areas where tourism is thriving,” he added. Arbil, the capital city of the semi-autonomous Iraqi Kurdistan Region, lies 360 km north of Baghdad. AmR (P)/SR 1
