Spokesperson says Salah al-Din building open, run by deputy governor

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Salah al-Din provincial building has been re-opened in accordance with instructions from the prime minister, a government spokesperson said on Sunday, adding that it will be temporarily headed by the first deputy governor. “The deputy governor will follow up on the procedures with the cooperation of everyone in the building to ensure that the provincial council can undertake the tasks assigned to it by the constitution and the law…,” Ali al-Dabbagh said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. Employees working in the building had been prevented by army forces from entering it in light of a political dispute following the dismissal of the Salah al-Din governor.
