Interior minister promotes Ninewa police chief to general

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Interior Minister Jawad al-Boulani has promoted Ninewa‘s police chief to the rank of general, according to a security source. “The minister promoted Ninewa‘s police chief, Brigadier Ahmad Hassan Attiya, to the rank of general for his efforts and distinguished work in the province,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The minister met with chieftains as part of his tour in Mosul to support and to develop the security effort in the province,” he added.
