Civilian killed, another wounded in Kirkuk shooting

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: One civilian man was killed and another wounded in an attack by unidentified gunmen on Sunday, a senior security official in Kirkuk said. “Unidentified gunmen opened fire on two ethnic Kurdish citizens in Ras Domez, southwestern Kirkuk, killing one and seriously wounding the other,” Brig. Sarhad Qader, the director of the Kirkuk Districts’ Police Department (KDPD), told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The gunmen waged their attack while driving by in a Nissan vehicle and then escaped to an unknown place,” he added, not giving further details. The oil-rich Kirkuk, a city of mixed Kurdish, Turkmen and Arab population, lies 250 km northeast of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. AmR (P)/SR 2
