10 persons arrested in Kirkuk

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: Ten persons, including wanted men, have been captured southwest of Kirkuk City, a local security source said on Tuesday. “On Monday (Feb. 15), a joint force from the local police and the Iraqi army carried out a campaign, during which seven wanted persons were arrested in accordance with Article IV of the Terrorism Law, in addition to three suspects,” a source from the Joint Coordination Center told IraqiNews.com news agency. The campaign covered al-Shaab neighborhood (80 km southwest of Kirkuk City), the source indicated. Kirkuk, an oil-rich and mixed city of Kurds, Turkmen, Christians and Arabs, lies 250 km northeast of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. SS (P) 1
