2 killed, 9 wounded in Mosul blast

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: Two persons were killed and nine others were injured in a car bomb blast in eastern Mosul, a local police source said on Tuesday. “The booby-trapped car went off at 07:30 a.m. today near the Criminal Evidence Department in Ninewa‘s Dawrat al-Hamam area, eastern Mosul, killing a police officer of the rank of captain and a traffic policeman, and wounding nine others, including five cops,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The wounded included a police colonel and a major,” the source indicated.
