Industrial development approves 189 projects in January

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Industrial Development department approved 189 projects last January at a total cost of 30.357 billion Iraqi dinars ($25.7 million), according to a statement of the industry ministry. “The projects covered sectors of food, textile, wooden, paper, chemical, construction and plastic industries,” said the statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. The food industries got the lion’s share of these projects with 54 projects at an investment cost of 8.894 billion Iraqi dinars, followed by the construction industries with 48 projects,” the statement added. “The industrial development department approved last month 26 licenses to complete the establishment of industrial projects and canceled 20 licenses,” it said.
