VP, Egyptian envoy discuss politics, relations

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq’s Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi has met with the Egyptian ambassador to the country to discuss political relations and the preparations for the upcoming parliamentary polls, an official statement said on Saturday. “On Saturday, Hashemi met with the ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Sherif Kamal Shahine, and discussed with him bilateral relations, the current political situation and preparations for the upcoming parliamentary election, scheduled to take place on March 7,” read the statement that was received by IraqiNews.com news agency.
