Water project opened in Muthanna

MUTHANNA / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi minister of municipalities and public works has inaugurated a water project in Muthanna at a total cost of 13 billion Iraqi dinars (ID), a local director said on Sunday. “This morning, Minister Riyadh Gharib inaugurated the Salman water project in the presence of Muthanna Governor Ibrahim al-Mayali and several local officials,” the director of the water department in the province, Abd Matar Fahd, told IraqiNews.com news agency. The project will help alleviate water shortage in al-Salman district (155 km southwest of Samawa). Samawa, the capital city of Muthanna province, lies 280 km south of Baghdad. SS (P) 2
