Initial agreements inked with Iranian companies on projects in Diwaniya

DIWANIYA / IraqiNews.com: Chairman of the Diwaniya council on Monday signed a number of initial agreements with a group of Iranian companies to carry out services projects in Diwaniya, the media advisor of the council’s chairman said. “Jubeir al-Juburi held a meeting with an Iranian delegation representing the union of engineers and exporters of the technical services,” Muayad al-Ansari told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The Iranian companies have allocated $ 10 billion to implement a number of investment projects throughout Iraq,” he added, noting that the companies implementing several projects in more than 50 countries. “The companies seek to invest in Diwaniya with projects like; the cement factory and oil refineries,” Head of the Diwaniya Investment Commission, Hakem al-Khuzaai said. Diwaniya is located 180 km south of Baghdad. SH (P)/SR 3
