No newspapers in Baghdad for elections

BAGHDAD /Iraqi News Newspapers in Baghdad will not appear as of Saturday (March 6) until Tuesday (March 9) for Iraq’s legislative elections 2010. Iraqi voters will head for the ballot stations to cast their votes in the parliamentary elections, the third of its kind since 2003. In 2009 Iraq had witnessed provincial elections to pick local councils in 14 Iraqi provinces with the exception of the three northern Iraqi Kurdish provinces of Arbil, Duhuk and Sulaimaniya and the disputed oil-rich province of Kirkuk.
