IED explodes near polling center, wounds 2 soldiers in Mosul

NINEWA /Iraqi News Two Iraqi army personnel have been injured when an improvised explosive device (IED) detonated near a polling center in Mosul City, a local police source said on Sunday. “The blast occurred in al-Tank neighborhood, western Mosul,” the source told Iraqi News. The source did not give further details. Nearly 19 million voters representing Iraq‘s 18 provinces started heading to the country’s voting stations at 07:00 a.m. today to elect a new parliament.
