Security plan in Talafar succeeds – source

NINEWA /Iraqi News The security plan during the elections in Talafar succeeded with no single violations recorded, a police source said on Monday. “The security plan of the general elections in Talafar was 100% successful and did not register any security incidents,” the source told Iraqi News. “Thousands of army and local police took part in it as well as the SWAT forces which spread all over the district and around it to prevent any attacks by mortar shells,” he added. Talafar district lies 60 km northwest of Mosul, the capital city of Ninewa province, which lies 405 km north of Baghdad. SH (P)/SR 1
