Sistani meets SIIC chief

NAJAF /Iraqi News Shiite top cleric Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani on Thursday a meeting with Head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council Ammar al-Hakim. “Today’s meeting is considered the cleric’s first meeting with a politician after the recent elections,” Iraqi News correspondent at al-Sistani’s office said. “Al-Hakim will hold a press conference after the meeting,” he noted.
