Talabani meets with head of Islamic group in Kurdistan

SULAIMANIYA /Iraqi News Iraqi President Jalal Talabani on Monday held a meeting with the Head of the Islamic Group in Iraqi Kurdistan Ali Baper and his accompanying delegation, according to a statement of the media office of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan. “The meeting, which was held in the Dukan resort, tackled the political process’s future after announcing the results of the parliamentary elections,” said the statement received by Iraqi News. “The two sides asserted the importance of uniting the Kurdish rank inside the parliament as well as boosting the joint action and cooperation among Kurdish politicians,” it added.
