Army forces free hostage, detain kidnappers in Mosul

NINEWA /Iraqi News An Iraqi army force freed a man taken hostage and arrested the kidnappers in eastern Mosul city on Thursday, a police source in Ninewa said. “The hostage was freed in al-Intissar neighborhood, eastern Mosul, based on intelligence tip-offs, and detained the kidnappers,” the source told Iraqi News. “The kidnappers are now remanded under investigative custody,” he added, not giving more information. Mosul, the capital city of the unrest-stricken province of Ninewa, lies 405 km north of Baghdad. AmR (P) 2
