Iran says ready to host Iraqi blocs

BAGHDAD /Iraqi News Iran is ready to host the Iraqi political blocs, as part of its continued support to the political process in Iraq, Iranian Mehr news agency said quoting foreign ministry’s spokesman. “Iran is seeking to help Iraq in forming the new government,” Ramin Mehmanparast said, noting that his country supports the political process, based on the people’s sovereignty. He asserted that alliances among parties and political blocs to form the government is an internal affair. He stressed that respecting the countries’ sovereignty, not to interfere in their internal affairs and developing mutual cooperation represent basic principles of Iran‘s foreign policy. SH (P)/SR 2
