Baath, Qaeda, – U.S. responsible for blasts – Shiite politician

BAGHDAD /Iraqi News The dissolved Baath Party, al-Qaeda Organization, and U.S. forces are involved in the blasts that targeted Iraqis on Sunday and today, Jamal Jaafar al-Ibrahim – a member of the Iraqi National Alliance (INA) – said on Tuesday. “The Baath Party carried out the bloody blasts to force Iraqi political blocs to include them in the ongoing political process,” al-Ibrahim said in a release received by Iraqi News. He noted that the blasts bear the blueprints of Baath and al-Qaeda. “American forces are facilitating the attacks because they would extend U.S. military presence in Iraq,” al-Ibrahim said. He expected more attacks would occur, and that Iraqi security forces should be careful during the coming stage. “I call on Iraqi politicians to stand against U.S. plans that aim at restoring power to Baath,” al-Ibrahim stressed.
