Intensified security deployment around Talafar

NINEWA /Iraqi News Security forces have intensified their deployment on the mountains around Talafar as a precautionary measure against possible attacks against the district, a police source said on Tuesday. “Joint forces from the 10th brigade of the 3rd division of the army and emergency police have intensified deployment since Tuesday morning on the mountains surrounding Talafar, searching for gunmen,” the source told Iraqi News. “Security information assert the possibility of armed attacks on Talafar with rockets and car bombs, the matter that forces security authorities to start a wide-scale security campaign for armed groups,” he added.
