Gunman killed, another wounded in IED blast in Mosul

NINEWA /Iraqi News A gunman was killed and another wounded in a blast from an improvised explosive device they were trying to plant in northern Mosul city on Thursday, a security source in Ninewa said. “The two gunmen were trying to emplace the IED inside a house in al-Rashidiya area, northern Mosul, when it went off, killing one of them and wounding the other,” the source told Iraqi News. “The army raided the house after the blast and rushed the wounded gunman to a hospital under tight guard,” he added.
