Iraqi soldier wounded in IED blast in Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: An Iraqi soldier was wounded in an improvised explosive device (IED) attack in western Mosul city on Saturday, a local police source in Ninewa said. “An IED attached to a lamp post went off in the area of al-Faisaliya, eastern Mosul, leaving an Iraqi soldier injured,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The soldier was being deployed near a checkpoint in the area when the explosive charge went off,” the source added.
