5 injuries in attack in Balad

SALAH AL-DIN / IraqiNews.com: Five people who belong to the family of a Sahwa fighter have been wounded in an attack that was launched by gunmen on their house east of Balad suburb. “The attack occurred yesterday night,” a local police source told IraqiNews.com news agency on Tuesday. He noted that a woman and child are among the injured. “The gunmen used two civilian cars to drive to an unknown place after the attack,” the source pointed out. He said that Iraqi security forces in Balad (110 km south of Tikrit city) are tracking down the armed men. Tikrit, the capital city of Salah al-Din province, lies 175 km north of Baghdad. MH (P)/SR 3
