Al-Hashemi meets Kuwaiti emir

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi arrived in Kuwait on Tuesday on an official visit to the country, according to Kuwaiti news agency (KUNA). “Al-Hashemi and his accompanying delegation held a meeting with Kuwaiti Emir, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, with whom he discussed ways of bolstering and cementing Kuwaiti-Iraqi cooperative ties for the common good of both nations and peoples, as well as issues of mutual interest,” KUNA added. The meeting was attended by Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, Acting Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Ali Jarrah and chief of the accompanying mission of honor, advisor at the Crown Prince’s Diwan Nasser Al-Roudhan. Al-Hashemi will head for Saudi Arabia on Wednesday (April 14) on an official visit to meet Saudi king and other senior Saudi officials. SH (P) 2
