Iraqiya has constitutional right to form govt. – Abu Risha

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraq Unity bloc is still backing Iyad Allawi’s al-Iraqiya as the latter is entitled constitutionally to form a new government, the bloc’s leading member, Sheikh Ahmed Abu Risha, said. “Al-Iraqiya is very close to the Iraq Unity bloc and it enjoys the constitutional right to form a new government,” Abu Risha said in statements to IraqiNews.com news agency. “The Iraqi Unity, which won four seats, is making contacts with the large four winning blocs – al-Iraqiya, Dawlat al-Qanoon (State of Law), the Iraqi National Alliance (INA) and the Kurdistan Alliance (KA) – but nothing tangible has been reached so far,” he added.
