Civilian killed, cop wounded in Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: A civilian man was killed and a policeman wounded in an attack by gunmen in western Mosul city on Saturday, a local security source in Ninewa said. “Gunmen opened fire on a policeman and his civilian friend in Dawrat al-Hamameel area, western Mosul, killing the civilian and wounding the policeman,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The policeman was on a leave of absence when gunmen in a vehicle opened drive-by fire on him and his friend before they managed to escape to an unknown place,” the source added.
