IED kills officer in Mosul

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: A police officer was killed in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast in western Mosul city on Friday, a local police source in Ninewa said. “The IED blast targeted a federal police patrol in the area of Tal al-Rimman, western Mosul, leaving an officer in the rank of captain killed,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The body was removed to a morgue in the city,” he added, not giving further details.
