200 people in Ninewa sit-in for detainees scandal
NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: More than 200 men and women have started a sit-in on Saturday before the provincial building’s authority in Ninewa province for the issue of abusing Iraqi detainees in secrete prisons ran by Iraqi government. “Those people have three demands to end their sit-in: release the detainees or give them fair trial, hold security forces responsible for abusing them, and change security commanders deployed in Ninewa,” a local source told IraqiNews.com news agency.
