Police officer survives assassination in Kirkuk

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: A police captain survived an assassination attempt on Sunday in southern Kirkuk city. “The officer came under gunmen’s fire,” a local police source told IraqiNews.com news agency. He pointed out that the gunmen were driving a vehicle when they launched the attack. “The officer was admitted to hospital,” the source noted.
