Car bomb injures 5 people in Salah el-Din

SALAH EL-DIN / IraqiNews.com: Five civilians were wounded in a car bomb explosion in northern Tikrit on Friday morning, a police source said. “A car rigged with explosives went off Friday morning (May 7) near the house of Commander of the Quick Response Department (QRD), Major Muhanad al-Douri, in al-Qadissiya neighborhood in northern Tikrit, injuring five civilians, including two women, and damaging the house,” the source told IraqiNews.com news agency. “The officer and his family were not in the house when the car bomb exploded,” he explained.
