Talabani meets Egyptian officials, stresses nat’l partnership gov’t in Iraq

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi President Jalal Talabani held two separate meetings in Cairo with the Egyptian foreign affairs ministers and the director of the Egyptian Mukhabarat. “During the two meetings that occurred on Saturday evening, Talabani and Egyptian officials discussed bilateral relations and methods to reinforce and develop them,” said an Iraqi presidential release. It noted that Talabani stressed the importance of forming a national partnership government in Iraq, “which will work on achieving stability and progress, and reinforces Iraq’s relations with its Arab and regional surroundings,” according to the statement.
