Al-Samarraie meets Turkish FM

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Speaker of the Iraqi parliament, Iyad al-Samarraie, held on Monday a meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, according to a statement of his office. “Al-Samarraie received on Monday (May 10) Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu at his residence in Istanbul on the sidelines of his participation in the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) meeting,” said the statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “The meeting tackled ways of boosting bilateral ties and the latest developments in Iraq and the whole region,” it added. “The Iraqi official underlined during the meeting on the importance of forming a national partnership government,” the statement noted.
