Talabani updates Abdulmahdi on visit to Egypt

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi President Jalal Talabani updated his deputy Adel Abdulmahdi Tuesday on his recent visit to Egypt and his meetings with senior officials there, according to a presidential statement. “The president updated the Egyptian officials on the recent developments in Iraq after the parliamentary elections,” said the statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “The president said the Egyptian officials underlined their keenness to support Iraq’s stability to overcome this critical stage,” the statement added. Talabani paid an official visit to Egypt last Saturday (May 8), where he met with President Hosni Mubarak and a number of Egyptian officials. SH (P) 2
