BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The European Union (EU) “strongly condemned” the numerous and seemingly well-coordinated attacks all over Iraq, which left at least 110 dead and many more injured. In a statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency, the spokesperson of high representative for foreign affairs and security policy, Catherine Ashton, expressed the representative’s sadness at these attacks and sent her condolences to the families of the victims of this atrocious violence and to the Iraqi authorities. “The Iraqi people deserve a return to peace, normality and a life in safety,” said the statement. “Once again the European Union strongly encourages all political entities in Iraq to engage constructively in the talks needed to form a stable government which is able to deal with all challenges confronting Iraq, not least with security,” the statement added. Meanwhile, the British embassy in Baghdad condemned Monday’s attacks in the country.
