Maliki presides over meeting to discuss Ninewa security

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki presided Sunday over a meeting to discuss security conditions in the volatile province of Ninewa, according to a cabinet information office’s press release. “Prime Minister Maliki, the commander-in-chief of the Iraqi armed forces, chaired the meeting that was attended by the ministers of interior, justice and state for national security affairs as well as the Ninewa governor and senior officers to discuss security conditions in the province,” read the release as received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “The prime minister stressed the need to activate coordination among security agencies,” it added.
